How to configure followers widget?

Travelmatic uses Silicon Counters plugin for displaying in a widget social buttons with counters.

To add a widget with social buttons with statistics go to Dashboard → Appearance → Customise → Widgets → Sidebar and choose Silicon Counters widget.

For Post, Users, Comments, Instagram, Vimeo, GitHub, Steam, Twitch and Pinterest counters you don’t need to provide API information. For other social networks configuration you need API keys. To configure your social buttons with statistics go to Dashboard → Settings → Silicon Counters.

Post – KML Layers

We tested two apps that allow exporting recorded tracks to a .KML file and you can install them from  Google Play / App Store by scanning QR codes below.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.basicairdata.graziano.gpslogger
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mytracks-the-gps-logger/id358697908?mt=8

These apps are only our suggestion and you can use any app you want if it allows exporting recorded GPS tracks to a .KML or .KMZ file.

To upload .KML or .KMZ file click on the “KML” tab and “Upload your KML file” button. Then upload your KML file (or paste the URL if it’s already hosted somewhere).

Sometimes .KML files may not work properly and tracks won’t be displayed on a map.
In that case open your .kml file in notepad and “Save as type” with .kmz extension.

If you are not going to add any custom points then you’ll have to set center map point for your KML tracks. You can do it by clicking “Custom Center Point” field and adjusting marker position (this marker won’t be visible in published post).

Recorded tracks from the file won’t be visible on map until you will save the post (you don’t have to publish it yet, you can save it as Draft).

Post – Drawing Polygons

  1. To add a polygone you need to first click the blue button “Draw new polyline” – it will add new element to the list.
  2. To start drawing polygone just click on the map. Each click will add new marker (they are draggable, so you can edit polygone that way). When you want to finish drawing, click the “Stop drawing” button.
  3. Once you finish drawing polygone you can change the content of the marker’s infobox in Infobox Settings.

By clicking the arrow next to “Encoded polygone” green marker, you’ll access details of the marker infobox. You can select any image (or don’t), change the icons color using ColorPicker, set the title (if you won’t the address of marker will be used) or set your short custom text for the marker

  4. After saving post, polygone and infobox will be displayed on post’s map:

Post – Main Marker

Post Main Marker is a marker that will be displayed on global map (this is a map on homepage).

Setting Main Marker

You can set that marker in various ways. The easiest would be to just drag and drop it to the place you want. Other way is to type address of the place you want to select. Thanks to autocomplete feature, it will use the same way of autocompleting addresses as the Google Maps use.

After setting marker position you can set up marker’s infobox. You can select any image (if you won’t, the Featured Image set in post will be used), change the icons color using ColorPicker, or set your short custom text for the marker (if you won’t, it will show first 16 words from the post content)
